Mid-Level Accountant
About this role
Wyze Nigeria is seeking a Mid-Level Accountant to join our Fintech team in Lekki, Lagos. The role is subject to fit-and-proper assessment and background checks as required by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC). The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance and will operate within a budget of 700k gross.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage and reconcile all betting accounts including player liabilities, GGR, and NGR
- Ensure timely remittance of applicable taxes (VAT, WHT, CIT) to FIRS and LIRS
- Prepare regulatory financial reports for submission to the NLRC
- Monitor and manage the company’s operational budget and cash flow
- Conduct bank reconciliations and oversee petty cash management
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
