Mechanical Engineer - Hands

Figure AI is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. Based in San Jose, CA, the company requires in-office collaboration five days a week. We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can own complex mechanical modules from concept through production. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-tech, fast-paced environment, is comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders, and has a strong background in design, testing, validation, and scaling hardware to production. Robotics experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D CAD to meet structural, durability, manufacturability, and industrial design requirements; generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups and review quality and inspection reports to ensure design intent is met.
