About the Role The Mechanic Transport role focuses on maintenance and repair of flatbed trailers to maximize equipment availability. This position involves work in Cemex shops, on roads, at job sites, and in customers’ yards, using proactive maintenance to reduce downtime. What You'll Do
- Diagnose air brake, air ride, and lighting issues and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on various trailers, including aluminum and steel, dock height and drop deck.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance services and DOT inspections and complete accompanying paperwork.
- Conduct routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles in compliance with Federal DOT requirements.
- Create legible, accurate work orders for repairs and services.
- Input daily repair reports into a software-based tracking program (SAP).
