About the Role
Under general supervision, the Manager Trainee will learn to manage a small driver count and/or non-traditional shifts (including nights and weekends) to ensure safe, timely movement of freight and quality customer service. The role trains for DOT compliance and for overseeing drivers' compliance while coordinating with internal and external contacts to plan, route, monitor, and deliver freight. What You'll Do
- Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safe, reliable outside carriers to ensure seamless new carrier setup, minimize turnover, and maximize ongoing productivity.
- Fill in for absent personnel and on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and profitability.
