About the Role The Branches of Framingham, Benchmark Senior Living is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support our Plant Operations Director. This role performs repairs and preventive maintenance to promote safety, comfort, and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff. What You'll Do
- Perform repairs (minor and major) and general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Implement regular and preventive maintenance programs to promote well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff
- Communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment
- Understand proper handling of biohazardous waste
- Maintain a clean laundry room and store chemicals per product or supervisor instruction; follow standards for chemical handling
- Demonstrate excellent mechanical skills
- Work effectively within the work-order system
