Maintenance Technician - Mini Grids
About this role
Monitor the performance and operational status of assigned mini-grid and telecoms sites daily. Ensure assigned sites maintain a maximum uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Monitor solar generation, battery status, inverter performance, load consumption, alarms and other critical system parameters. Identify potential faults and abnormalities early to prevent system shutdowns. Respond promptly to site alarms, outages and equipment failures. Diagnose and resolve electrical, solar, battery, inverter and related system faults. Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and routine site inspections. Inspect solar panels, batteries, inverters, cables, connections, protection systems and other equipment. Manage and prioritize maintenance activities across multiple sites based on urgency and site performance.
