About the Role
Columbia University's Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute seeks a Magnetic Resonance Technologist and Safety Officer (MRSO) to support the Magnetic Resonance Research Platform. The Technologist/MRSO will oversee day-to-day operations of two 3T Siemens MRI systems, assist researchers with study execution, and maintain safety policies and training to ensure a safe research environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist investigators in data collection and data transfer.
- Serve as an expert operator of Siemens Prisma 3T systems during research studies.
- Develop, document, and enforce MR safety procedures to minimize risk.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, IRB, IACUC, and Columbia University regulations, practices, and policies.
- Perform risk assessments for research participants with implanted devices, tattoos, or other conditions.
