About the Role Machinist II on the 2nd shift sets up and operates CNC and conventional work centers to machine standard and special components used in pneumatic cylinders. You will follow established procedures to ensure quality, throughput, and safety. What You'll Do
- Operate primary CNC work center and other centers as needed to meet production schedules.
- Install and adjust tooling; load programs; position raw materials; run first-piece analysis and adjust tooling and operating parameters.
- Perform progressive turning, drilling and tapping operations of average complexity; monitor cycles; load/unload as needed.
- Inspect parts for dimensions and surface finish; troubleshoot tooling, materials, or program issues; seek assistance when needed.
- Prepare paperwork and file completed work; perform preventive maintenance; notify supervisors of equipment issues.
