About the Role Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA is hiring a Machinist for its Pittsburgh-Cheswick location. This union role will be on the backshift and includes on-the-job training during the daylight shift. The role involves operating and programming CNC and manual machines to produce large, precision components for critical-function pumping systems and related equipment. What You'll Do
- Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to produce parts within close tolerances on large components.
- Set up, program (where applicable), and run CNC mills/turns, Horizontal Boring Mills, Vertical Boring Mills, lathes, multi-axis milling and turning equipment.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
