About the Role Under routine supervision, this position inspects, evaluates, and reports on inbound and outbound units to ensure compliance with Federal guidelines, safety and company safety/operational requirements for safe operation on public highways. The role may involve outdoor work and across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, with potential overtime and requires full-time attendance.
What You'll Do
- Perform inspections on Company units to ensure compliance with Federal DOT and FHWA, State, and local regulations
- Observe all Company safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Document defects and deficiencies according to Company standards
- Ensure tires are properly serviced and meet Company standards
- Perform minor repairs (e.g., change lights, install mud flaps, add fluids) as required
