About the Role Histology Technician at Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital will process tissues, embed, and prepare samples for histology, ensuring quality and accuracy in a hospital setting. What You'll Do
- Process tissues using Xpress microwave rapid tissue processor
- Embedding: Manual and Automated using Sakura Auto TEK embedder
- Microtomy of paraffin embedded tissue blocks both manual and auto embedded
- Recuts of tissue blocks
- Special stains
- IF cryotomy of skin specimens What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Laboratory Science and Histology routine training or Completed accredited Histology Technology program
- Certification: HT/HTL Certificate (ASCP), equivalent or eligible
- Experience: 1 year experience in Histology Laboratory preferred
