About the Role HIM (Medical Records) Assistant at NHC HealthCare Chattanooga is seeking a team member to support the Health Information Technician with clerical and record-keeping duties. The role focuses on accurate documentation, data entry, and ensuring the completeness and integrity of the EHR. What You'll Do
- Determine upon admission whether additional admission data is needed and obtain missing information.
- Check the EHR quantitatively on admission and periodically (minimum once per month) to assure completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency.
- Communicate with and assist the medical staff and allied health personnel in updating the EHR; interact with other departments, physicians, administrators, and regional support staff.
- Maintain flow of reports to the EHR – scan into and QA all forms that are scanned into the EHR and update as needed.
