About the Role The Head of Video is an essential creative and strategic role for the future of The Free Press. This person will oversee the current and future video shows and podcasts from The Free Press, and will also oversee its strategy on social video and video clips. This role will require editorial rigor, management chops, and business strategy. Knowledge of programming for and optimizing YouTube is a requirement. This person should be passionate about the role and mission of The Free Press and have a natural understanding for what a “Free Press story” is and is not. This role reports to the Deputy Editor and is based in New York City. What You'll Do
- Manage the video team, including FTEs and contractors working on all video shows, podcasts, and social clips
