Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Summary Troubleshoot and complete routine repairs, general maintenance, and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform equipment and facility repairs to ensure reliable operation to provide a safe living and learning environment.
- Conduct testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance on systems and equipment to minimize equipment failures and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor and evaluate system and equipment operation to detect, investigate and prevent problems that could cause failure.
- Perform varied maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance in Residential Halls, Academic buildings, and Residential Properties to get them prepared for occupancy.
- Assist and train others to improve staff capabilities and department performance.
