About this role
About the Role The Customer Engineer/Field Service Technician role provides on-site installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on Vertiv UPS, power distribution, battery systems and related power products. You will work to establish and maintain strong rapport with customers and collaborate with colleagues and Technical Support to ensure reliable service. What You'll Do
- Perform service tasks as assigned and per company policies and procedures
- Work under direct supervision or independently based on training
- Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers
- Communicate with Technical Support on technical or procedural issues
- Implement Field Change Notices and stay current on Safety Bulletins and Service Tips
- Operate in a safe manner and maintain the company vehicle in accordance with policy
