About this role
About the Role The Export Specialist facilitates movement of products/equipment/materials out of the country via ocean and air freight, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws, and delivers customer service for bookings, rates, document production, accounting, agent interaction and problem solving. What You'll Do
- Prepare and coordinate documentation for export activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution.
- Coordinate cargo pickup/transfer and monitor status.
- Communicate with export authorities, customers and suppliers in relevant territories to maintain compliant relations and activities.
- Obtain spot rates when necessary.
- Communicate with overseas agents and clients (pre-alerts, rate requests, shipment status).
- Track shipments and update customers/agents of status.
- Create and maintain customer files.
