Duke Energy is seeking an Engineer III or Senior Engineer (P&C Design) in Lake Mary, Florida. This is the career/senior level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. The role involves managing work in protection and control design for substations, including routine modifications, installations, and the complete design of new transmission facilities. The position requires developing advanced skills and working independently with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects. The final product is an engineering release package consisting of drawings and bills of materials. The incumbent will work as part of a project team to develop detailed project scopes, layouts of control equipment enclosures, and detailed elementary, schematic, and wiring diagrams needed for construction of substation projects.
