About the Role Join the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) Sensor Test and Evaluation Group as an Electronics Technician. You will solder, assemble, and troubleshoot printed circuit boards for embedded solutions and help develop a wireless IoT data collection system used to record thermocouple and thermistor temperatures in high-temperature manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do
- Solder, assemble, and troubleshoot SMD and through-hole components on printed circuit boards for embedded systems.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded systems for a variety of applications, with a primary focus on a custom wireless IoT data collection system.
- Participate in hardware prototype development including design, build, integrate, data collection, user interface, system health, data storage, distributed deployment, and network security.
