About this role
About the Role Directed by the site foreman, the Directional Driller will perform all phases of directional drilling tasks to meet or exceed client expectations. This non-union position is part of Aecon Utilities' projects and will be based in Albuquerque, NM. This is an evergreen posting; qualified candidates will be contacted as new work is awarded. What You'll Do
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspection.
- Ability to operate Horizontal Directional Drill and/or locating equipment independently and safely.
- Provide technical support to clients and crew members as required.
- Keep abreast of all directional drilling techniques and all surveying methods.
- Manage inventory and supplies.
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving of loads and conduct in response for hand or audio signals from team members.
