About the Role Direct Support Professional at ResCare Community Living (a Sevita family company) helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently by providing person-centered support, advocacy, and community participation opportunities. What You'll Do
- Support participants with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, including assisting with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve and build trust with their families and care teams.
- Encourage participants to participate in community activities and pursue their favorite hobbies.
- Help develop personal goals (e.g., budgeting, exercise, nutrition).
- Take initiative and demonstrate ownership to do what’s right for participants, guided by supervisors. What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
