About the Role Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide community-based supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, working with clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans and help people live as independently as possible. This role is based in community settings and involves transportation and in-the-community activities to support learning, skills, and daily living. What You'll Do
- Provide assistance and strategies to individuals to live as independently as possible in community settings.
- Support transportation for outings, medical appointments, and shopping.
- Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and medication administration.
- Guide individuals on developmental goals such as community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
