About the Role ResCare Community Living, a part of the Sevita family, provides quality services that empower individuals, enhance independence, and help people live well. As a Dietary and Food Cook in our San Luis Obispo location, you will help coordinate menus and prepare meals for individuals receiving our services, contributing to safe, enjoyable dining experiences and quality care. What You'll Do
- Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
- Prepare, season, and cook food
- Carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings
- Inspect food storage and direct sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
- Oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods
- Plan and review menus
- Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent
