About the Role Join Union Pacific's mechanical team as a Diesel Electrician responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems on diesel-electric locomotives. You will perform scheduled inspections, maintenance, and troubleshoot locomotive control circuits to keep locomotives safe and reliable. What You'll Do
- Utilize schematics and location circuit plans to conduct scheduled electrical inspections and circuit tests on various components.
- Perform maintenance and repair of electrical components in locomotive cabs or electrical compartments, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems and components to determine the root cause of problems.
- Coordinate work activities and plan the necessary steps to complete tasks, considering equipment requirements.
