About this role
About the Role As a Desk Editor on Reuters’ Global News Desk, you will write and edit breaking global news at speed, copyedit longer initiatives for a global audience, and ensure every story is balanced with fair comment alongside engaging visuals. You will collaborate with reporters and editors around the world to produce distinctive journalism for Reuters’ wide audience, and help lead readers to new stories while experimenting with new formats and tools. Please note you will be expected to work some weekend and evening shifts. What You'll Do
- Write and edit breaking news stories from around the globe while producing clean, engaging stories at speed.
- Copyedit longer initiative stories that may take more than a day.
- Ensure every story is balanced and includes fair comment, alongside engaging visuals for the stories you're editing.
- Collaborate with colleagues around the world.
