The Coordinator works closely with and reports to the Manager, Grounds in supervising and scheduling the activities of the grounds staff.

Examples of Duties

The primary responsibility of this position is the maintenance of all lawns, planting beds, shrubs, trees, flowers, and the daily clearing of the College’s walkways, roads and paths. The Coordinator also participates in the planning and construction of new and renovated landscape areas of the campus, and may be called upon to do minor landscape/design estimating. The Coordinator must be hands-on and have the ability to operate and train staff in the safe operation and maintenance of equipment such as mowers, fertilizers, tractors, and backhoes is critical. The coordinator must also have experience and a working knowledge of lawn irrigation systems.
