About the Role Under the direction of the Director or Manager the pharmacist assumes responsibility for the pharmacotherapy outcomes of patients through knowledge and skills coupled with innovative technology and the packaging and distribution of medications.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the point of contact for patients, families, other pharmacists, clients, and providers to address medication-related problems (MRPs) and other issues, and respond to pharmacotherapy questions.
- Explain care plan options and the use, side effects, and contraindications of dispensed medications, verbally or in written records stored within proprietary software.
- Ensure patient care decisions and actions as well as coding/billing are properly documented using proprietary software.
