About the Role
The Clinical Coordinator III – Physician Assistant will support Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. The role provides independently delivered medical care, pre- and post-operative coordination, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Conduct pre-operative workups and clearance; assist with intra- and post-operative surgical activities; manage pre/post-op care including wound and drain management.
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., paracentesis); order and interpret diagnostic tests (ECG, labs, X-rays, CT/MRI) and follow up on results.
- Present cases at tumor board; develop materials for regional and national meetings; support research activities.
