Columbia University Medical Center's Neurological Surgery department seeks a Clinical Coordinator II - Registered Nurse II to support physicians with patient care, EMR chart management, and care coordination. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and focuses on delivering patient-centered care and coordinating clinical protocols within Neurological Surgery.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive neurological assessments and monitor patient status, escalating concerns to the neurosurgical team as appropriate.
- Provide preoperative education, coordinate imaging/lab testing, complete surgical checklists, and verify surgical readiness.
- Conduct postoperative assessments, wound evaluation, drain management, pain assessment, and complication prevention; perform follow-up calls/telehealth within one week of surgery.
