About the Role Cardiac Sonographer I performs echocardiography studies across Cardiology units, including transesophageal stress echocardiography as ordered. The role supports diagnostic imaging and may involve cross-training in EKG performance and record keeping. What You'll Do
- Perform thorough echocardiography studies (2-D, M-Mode, Color Flow and Spectral Doppler, Transesophageal, Stress Echo using Definity and Bubble Study) on all patient populations served with high technical quality, timely and accurate according to policy
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by taking vital signs, positioning, reviewing medical history
- Coordinate with pacemaker technicians to obtain AV optimization results
- Provide studies in inpatient and outpatient Cardiology units; may be scheduled for on-call duty
