About the Role Under routine supervision, the Capacity Procurement Coordinator supports the JB Hunt brand by negotiating rates, procuring transportation services, and ensuring on-time, flawless execution of booked freight using internal assets and external resources. The role also requires providing location status updates to customers. What You'll Do
- Negotiate with carriers for purchase rates to meet revenue and profit margin goals and build appropriate business relationships with carriers.
- Manage freight in transit by obtaining carrier/driver updates and provide updated ETAs to customers.
- Tender loads and optimize service through the Carrier 360 platform: review carrier rate submissions, make counteroffers, and respond to inquiries.
- Proactively communicate service failures to internal support teams to minimize issues and promote on-time service.
