About the Role Illumina is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage direct materials procurement for manufacturing, ensuring on-time delivery and data integrity across ERP/PLM systems. This role partners with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to optimize cost, delivery, and part availability while supporting supplier development and process improvements. What You'll Do
- Ensure efficient processing of custom and off-the-shelf direct materials purchase requisitions driven by planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Own assigned suppliers and parts for timely delivery of materials to manufacturing and spare parts.
- Maintain effective collaboration with suppliers to prevent disruption and escalate internally/externally as needed.
- Manage supplier lead times, safety stock, expedites, SCNs and delivery reschedules; drive on-time delivery and inventory turnover.
