Location: Pelahatchie, Mississippi Job Type: Full-time Salary: $21.83- $23.40
Position Summary: The Baler Operator tends the machine that compresses and binds paper and corrugated scrap to facilitate handling.
Essential Functions:
- Cart or carry materials to shredder machine
- Place materials in shredder and then send shredded scrap to the compression chamber of the baling machine
- Move lever or electric switch, causing ram to compress material
- Thread tie bands into baler, which twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands
- Weigh bales and record weight
- Remove bales from machine and truck bale to storage place
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
