About the Role North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to perform essential earthwork for railroad construction and maintenance projects. This hourly craft position also includes training to operate specialized on-track equipment such as Tamper machines and Ballast Regulators. The role involves travel and occasional weekend work. What You'll Do
- Set up and operate backhoe and related equipment for earthwork and railroad projects
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Lead crew or assist in coordinating tasks as required What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year backhoe operation experience
- Valid driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Able to lift 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather Nice to Have
- Experience with Tamper machines and Ballast Regulators Compensation & Benefits
