Luther College seeks an Assistant Professor of Biology, a physiologist whose professional experience in biology has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to academic excellence in teaching, research, and service for a tenure-eligible position to begin Fall 2027. We seek candidates with ability and interest in teaching physiology and anatomy for nursing majors, upper-level electives for biology majors, the introductory level molecules, cells, and genes course for biology majors, and an all-college interdisciplinary course at the first year or senior level in rotation with other department faculty. Topics for upper-division elective courses could include immunology, vertebrate physiology, endocrinology, developmental biology, etc.
