About the Role A senior librarian/manager overseeing adult services at the Flushing library, responsible for supervising staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring client service. The role works with the Assistant Community Library Manager and the other Adult Services Manager and may assume library management in the absence of the Flushing Director. What You'll Do
- Supervise, train, develop and evaluate adult services staff at the community library.
- Organize and monitor workflow; provide direct service to customers.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the library collection.
- In the absence of the Flushing Director and the Assistant Community Library Manager, assume responsibility for managing the library including materials selection, programming, physical maintenance, meeting attendance, regular reports and overall direction of staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
