About the Role
The Programming/Activity Assistant supports the Activity Director by organizing and implementing programs designed to meet the individual needs of residents, promoting self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment. This part-time days role aligns with Benchmark’s mission and involves delivering engaging activities that address physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. What You'll Do
- Assist in the development and implementation of an innovative seven day a week activity program that is engaging
- Lead and implement one-on-one, small group and large group activities according to the programming schedule
- Support, encourage and direct independent activity pursuits, both individually and in small groups
- Support the resident’s abilities by understanding that all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity
