About the Role

An Accessioning Coordinator is sought in the Division of Personalized Genomic Medicine (PGM) within the Department of Pathology & Cell Biology. Working under the Laboratory Manager, the role will focus on administrative and clerical tasks associated with specimen receiving and reporting, using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Cerner LabSeq and Epic Beaker, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced clinical environment. Occasional specimen transport is required.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the sample entry area of the laboratory including logging into appropriate databases and rejection logs.
  • Assist with customer questions concerning pre-analytical details and general inquiries.
  • Receive, sort, and accession all biological specimens sent to the laboratory; ensure accurate labeling and proper handling.
